the ballad of mr. old bones
A wary traveler has a chance encounter with a famous musical storyteller while sheltering from a storm, and finds an unexpected way home.
“The Ballad of Mr. Old Bones” was written by Claire Dinnebier and is based on the story "Der Totentanz” by Johan August Apel. If you want to read the original story yourself, you can find it in two translations as “The Piper of Neisse” and "Dance of the Dead".
